+ What should I expect during my treatment?
During the Lumecca treatment an intense pulse of light is flashed. You'll be wearing protective goggles, as will your clinician. Many clients report the laser feels like a small pinch on the skin and may cause sensitivity for those who are sensitive to light. The length of the treatment is dependant on the numner of areas treated or full face treatment.
+ How many treatments will I need?
For best results, we recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However you will see results in 10 days!
+ Are there specific skin types that do not react well with the Lumecca laser?
While IPL treatments are safe and effective for all skin types, individuals with fair skin often report seeing results sooner than individuals with darker toned skin.
+ Can I only get IPL treatments on my face?
The Lumecca IPL laser can be used anywhere on the body where the client is experiencing unusual pigmentation or acne.
+ What should I expect after my treatment?
Following a Lumecca IPL treatment, your skin make be slightly red or feel warm mimicking a slight sun burn. Any hyperpigmentation spots should appear darker immediately following the treatment. Over the course of 10 days the hyperpigmentation will become darker before sloughing off, leaving you with clearer, brighter skin. You will be sent home with a post- treatment kit that includes a wash, recovery lotion and an SPF. Clients will need to wear an SPF following the treatment.
+ When will I see results?
Clients can expect to see results approximately 3-5 days following treatment with full results after 10 days. For more stubborn pigmentation or acne, a series of treatments is recommended.
+ Will my pigmentation return?
We recommend clients continue with a strong skincare regime and preventative action to prevent future sun damage and pigmentation. We encourage clients to continue with IPL treatments for optimal results.
